Website Usage

My website is hosted at GoDaddy, and so far I've been pleased with their hosting package and performance. One of their standard features includes website statistics. Ever since I've had this site on the Internet, I've wondered about how often the site gets visited, and where a user will browse within the site, etc.

The results are a bit surprising. Strangely enough, most visits to the website include just one page view, and most of those come from the picture.asp page. So basically, a user opens the page, looks at the picture contained within, then leaves. I can't quite figure out this behavior. My first thought was that it was a web robot (under the employ of Google, Yahoo, or any othe of the major web search sites) that was crawling on my site. But if that was the case, it would seem logical to assume that it would visit other, if not all, pages on my site in attempt to document what's here.

With the new knowledge of these "single page visits", I have added a "Home" link to the pictures page, so that users are more inclined to visit around the site. (I may also add a "Back" link in the near future.)
