I've added a new picture group, "Railcars", accessible from the "pictures" section of the home page. It shows various railroad freight cars, grouped by type of car (boxcar, tankcar, etc).

I've had a small fascination with railroad cars for some reason, and it was just recently that I decided it might be good to take pictures of railcars and post them to my website. It may seem a bit unorthodox, and a lot of the pictures of the same type of car may run together. But each car has its own story to tell. Its grimy trucks, the rust on its damaged body, the graffiti by illegal artists unknown...these are the unsung heroes of the railroad world, quietly going about their business as they're towed back and forth across our great nation. I think that a banged up old boxcar showing its age is an uncelebrated essence of railroading, so why not document some of these warriors doing what they do best?
