I have been quite pleased with the response of users to the new "Comments" feature of Abandoned Rails. I added this in early December of last year, in hopes that people would leave their thoughts or knowledge on the different articles presented on the site for others to read and learn. And so far, it has exceeded my expectations! People leave comments on the average of about 1 a day, which may not seem like a lot to you, but to me, that's significant, considering that I had expected maybe only a couple of comments a month. Over 100 articles on Abandoned Rails now has at least one comment (with some articles having up to 4 or 5 comments!), which means that almost a quarter of the articles has extra information attached to them. My thanks goes out to all of those who have left comments in the past. If you haven't left a comment yet, and you are reading an article that you know just a little bit more about, I encourage you to leave a comment! After all, the Abandoned Rails site is all about its users -- those who submit articles, pictures, or even Comments!

Speaking of Comments, I just finished changing it a bit. I have noticed that some users will put in line breaks into their comments; however, these line breaks were not preserved and led to sentences that ran into each other. Without proper visual separation, the comment was just mashed together. I fixed this so that line breaks are preserved, and will display correctly. So comment away, my dear visitors!
